SUPPLIES REQUIRED FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

 

 

1 N.I.V. Bible (New International Version- no children’s versions please) – Study edition recommended for 6th grade required for 7th and 8th

 

3 packages of  Pencils

 

2 packages of Ballpoint pens – blue or black only

 

1 Set of colored pencils

 

2 single subject spiral notebooks or composition style journals

 

2   3-subject spiral notebooks

 

White out  

 

1 pack fine point white board markers (for student use on small whiteboards)

 

1 zippered pencil pouch (optional)

 

1 accordion file folder or 3 ring binder (1˝ “ or 2” only)

 

2 Glue Sticks (white)

 

1 Pair scissors (labeled)

 

200 – 3x5 white horizontally ruled note cards

 

4 Large book covers – cloth is easiest and most durable – not adhesive type

 

1 calculator (must be a graphing calculator for 8th grade)

 

1 Salem Christian School Assignment Book (available from Office/Bookstore for $5.00)

 

1 Book bag or backpack (able to carry binders plus text books needed for class)

 

3 Large boxes of tissues

 

 

Students should carry all of the above supplies with them to each class (except the last two items).  Failure to have these supplies on hand during a class may result in a homework slip.

 

Please be sure that pictures on folders, lunch boxes, notebooks, etc. are not of rock stars, ninja turtles, pokemon, anime, power rangers, animorphs, weird creatures, or the like.  We want to glorify the Lord in all we do.  Thank you.
