SUPPLIES REQUIRED FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

1 N.I.V. Bible (New International Version- no childrens’ versions please) – Study edition required for 7^th and 8^th

20 Pencils (plain, yellow #2, sharpened or 10 mechanical pencils 5mm or 7mm)

10 Ballpoint pens – blue or black only

1 Set of colored pencils

1 Zippered pencil pouch

1 Pencil sharpener (one that catches shavings, please)

White out (tape only allowed)

1 Set of colored washable markers

1 - 12” ruler (metric/standard)

2 Elmer’s Glue Sticks (white)

1 Medium White Elmer’s Glue (washable)

1 Pair scissors (labeled)

3 Composition books, quad ruled 5 to 1”

2 – 1 inch flexible, soft cover loose leaf binders (no large, zipper binders)

200 sheets of three hole notebook paper (6^th grade, please do not open the paper)

6 Durable pocket three hole dividers

300 3X5 white horizontally ruled note cards

4 Large book covers – cloth is easiest and most durable – not adhesive type

1 Scientific calculator (must be a graphing calculator for 8^th grade)

1 ea. Compass and protractor (6^th grade only)

1 Salem Christian School Assignment Book (available from Office/Bookstore for $4.50)

1 Book bag or backpack (able to carry binders plus text books needed for class)

2 Large boxes of tissues

1 Paint smock (large, old shirt is fine)

Students should carry all of the above supplies with them to each class (except the last two items). Failure to have these supplies on hand during a class may result in a homework slip.

Please be sure that pictures on folders, lunch boxes, notebooks, etc. are not of rock stars, ninja turtles, pokemon, digimon, power rangers, animorphs, weird creatures, or the like. We want to glorify the Lord in all we do. Thank you.
